Inhabitants of Domodedovo protest against resettlement policy

A protest action of inhabitants of shabby and dangerous to live in houses is taking place in Domodedovo, Moscow Region. More than 50 participants of the action were lined up the street in Severny district with slogans: “Well-deserved apartments without extra charge to all!”, “For fair relocation!”, “Apartment for an apartment, instead of meter for meter!”, “No to abuse of power!”. The protesters’ claims were addressed to members of Moscow Regional Duma and to the head of Domodedovo city district.

The protesters declare that in the new apartments given to them the number of rooms is not equivalent to the number of rooms they had in their previous apartments and communal apartments are not separated. According to CITY FM, the chairman of Moscow Regional Duma Valery Aksakov met the participants of the action. “It is a problem of the federal legislation,” explained he, “neither municipal, nor regional authorities are not involved in it.”

Also Aksakov informed that on April 22, a session of a council of legislators with participation of representatives of federal and regional parliaments of the Russian Federation will take place in Domodedovo. Among other problems there will be discussed outstanding questions of the housing code.
