Interregional festival of ethnic cultures held in Kirov

On December 7-9, the Third Interregional Festival of Ethnic Cultures Firebird is being held in Kirov on December 7-9, the Kirov Region department of culture and arts told REGNUM.

The Russian Federal Agency for Culture and Cinematography, the National Russian Folk Arts House and the Kirov Region government are organizers of the event. 400 artists are taking part in the festival from Kirov Region, Mari El, Tatarstan and Bashkortostan.

A scientific practical conference Vyatka Folklore will be held during the festival. Besides, from December 6 to 22, the Fourth Regional Festival of Arts and Ethnic Cultures is being held in Kirov. It was opened by a concert of Kirov Folklore Band.

On December 8, an open regional festival of folklore bands will be held timed to the 70^th anniversary of Kirov Regional Music Arts College. On December 9, an open festival of choruses will take place to mark the 350^th anniversary of Vyatka Eparchy.
