Kaliningrad administration exhausted annual limit of 130 mn rubles for mortgage loans to young families

Kaliningrad already exhausted a limit of 130 million rubles set by the budget of 2008 for rendering assistance in acquiring of dwelling by young families. As a REGNUM correspondent is informed on May 19, at the press-service of the District Council of Kaliningrad, it was announced during a session of the parliamentary commission on local self-governance, social policy and public safety.
The chair of the commission Alla Kalashnikova informed that in spite of the exhausted limit, most young families of Kaliningrad still cannot afford to pay their monthly payments on mortgages. In addition, according to Kalashnikova, monthly payments equal to 17,000 rubles within 20 years result in increase of the cost of the apartment by 2.5 times.
As a result, the deputies of the local self-governance and social policy commission decided to return to the theme of development of the real measures to decrease the financial burden, which is undertaken by young families buying housing, she concluded.
