Pentagon seems to have become a humanitarian organization: Washington discusses Pentagon options to restore Georgia
Read it in Russian
US are discussing military options of restoring Georgia, ITAR-TASS cites Pentagon's spokesman Bryan Whitman.
The Pentagon official said his agency was discussing what could be done to restore Georgia militarily wise. At the moment, he assures, the military mission of the USA in Georgia is purely ''humanitarian.''
Meanwhile, some western media outlets cite another unnamed Washington official who said the US and Georgian bureaucrats have already launched dialog on rendering defense-related aid to Tbilisi that it might need for ''restoration purposes.''
Remarkably, no humanitarian assistance to the devastated by Georgian bombs South Ossetia is even being discussed in Washington offices.
