Residents of Imereti Valley in Sochi picketing against being resettled

More than 200 residents of Imereti Valley in Sochi have staged a rally against construction of the 2014 Olympic Games facilities, because of which their houses are to be demolished.

The Olympic village is planned to be constructed in the valley, and for this purpose some local residents have to move out. “We want to show the seriousness of intentions the Imereti Valley residents. We are against being resettled,” said Dmitry Drofichev, the head of the initiative group which have organized the picketing, reports Dailystroy.
