Russia and Georgia resume air traffic
On March 25, Russia is resuming air traffic with Georgia interrupted by the Russian side in October 2006 due to the Georgian side's debt for the air navigation service. Flights are going to be performed by both countries' airlines on a parity basis. The resumption of the air traffic between Russia and Georgia became possible after negotiations held on February 18-20 between delegations of responsible authorities of Russia and Georgia. Following the talks, technical matters were agreed on and a foundation prepared for a final decision that was taken at a meeting of Georgia's and Russia's presidents on February 21. Russian and Georgian airlines are going to perform ten flights a week each. On the Russian side, operators are Aeroflot and S7 airlines. 17:02 03/25/2008 COMMENT ON THIS NEWS !
