Georgia is amassing troops towards the South Ossetian border, a REGNUM correspondent is told at the press office of the Security Council of South Ossetia. According to the source, artillery units are being drawn up to the unrecognized state that had military exercises at the ground in Orfolo before that.

“We have information that the Georgian Armed Forces received an order to be on 15-hour alert. Reservists from the Georgian National Guard are expected to join them soon. The actions were taken after an extraordinary meeting of the Georgian Security Council in response to an order of Russian President Vladimir Putin to render support to South Ossetia and Abkhazia,” the spokesman for the South Ossetian security council said.
