Spending for modernization of communal services to increase by 30% in 2008

1 bn rubles are planned to be spent from Kirov Region budget for modernizing of the communal services in 2008; it is by 30% more than in 2007, REGNUM was told at the press office of the regional government.

At the same time, in 2008, guarantees of Kirov Region are to be given to attract credit resources for the purpose in the amount of 100 mn rubles.

Besides, to put limits to growth of tariffs for communal services for population, 140 mn rubles will be allotted from the regional budget in 2008 to support communal companies, which tariffs grow faster than certain indices.

As the press office informs, special attention will be paid to social protection of families with low incomes. In 2007, 525 mn rubles were sent for subsidies to such families in 2007; in 2008, 570 mn rubles are expected to be spent for the purpose.

Besides, in 2008, 22 mn rubles are planned to be spent from the regional budget for repair and reconstruction of old electricity networks.
