Terrorist act against peacekeepers and civilians prevented in South Ossetia
South Ossetian authorities have informed of a prevented terrorist act against peacekeeping forces and civilians in the republic's Leningory region. A radiocontrolled landmine was found and disposed of during combat engineer reconnaissance, South Ossetian State Committee for Information and Press reported. ''The landmine was found during combat engineer reconnaissance on the route of peacekeeping forces between Monaster and Tsinagar villages of republic's Leningory region,'' the Committee quotes a source at the Joint Peacekeeping Forces' Operational Headquarters.
