Ukraine will file a suit in international institutions to demand information on the cargo of ships wrecked and drowned in the Kerch Straits during a storm on Nov 11, if Russia fails to promptly present the information, REGNUM reports head of Ukraine’s foreign ministry’s press service Andrey Deshitsa to inform Dec 4.

Mr. Dehsitsa reminded that the Russian Federation had earlier promised that presenting the information was a matter of days. He said he hoped there would be no need for Ukraine to file a suit with international courts. “The Ukrainian side has already addressed to the Russia’s MFA three notes requiring to control payments for the damages inflicted by Russian ships owners guilty of the catastrophe. Besides, on Nov 29, at the third session of the joint Ukrainian-Russian working group for combating the disaster in the Azov-Black Sea region on Nov 11-12, a decision was taken that the Russian side would respond no later than on Dec 3-4,” Deshitsa informed.
