Windows to be replaced for antinoise ones in buildings near railway in Moscow

Usual windows in flats of residents living near the Smaller ring of the Moscow railway, which is expected to start carrying passengers in several years, are planned to be replaced by antinoise plastic ones, Chief Architect of Moscow City Alexander Kuzmin announced at a session of the Moscow Mayor Public City Planning Council.
In view of increasing noise level from trains in houses located near railways, it is necessary to replace the windows, said Alexander Kuzmin, while reporting about the general plan of development of the Moscow railway junction according to which, construction of new radial railways, which can pass by apartment blocks, is planned.
According to the chief architect of Moscow, currently it is necessary to replace 11,000 windows in 1,400 buildings.
It is necessary to update the scheme with serious developments on protection of Moscow against railway noise, Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov stressed in his turn. According to him, the most complicated situation regarding noise isolation is registered in the houses located along Kazan direction of the Moscow railway, informs RIA Novosti.
